Does anyone have a higher resolution version of this?

Longs Peak Highland Festival 1985

In 1985, a select group were selected to form a National Canadian Cadet Pipe Band and perform at the Longs Peak Highland Festival in Estes Park, Colorado. We met and travelled from CFB Trenton and stayed for a number of days at the YMCA of the Rockies, just outside of Estes Park. Most cadets were drawn from the 1985 summer pipes and drums course at Camp Ipperwash, but a few were from wider afield.

The following are some photos I took of the event.

Taken at the YMCA.
Paul Burns, Blair Will, Brenda Geil, Mark Mackisoc, Caroline Armstrong and Brian Morrison.

Here are a few photos taken at the Games in the town of Estes Park.

The Colorado Army National Guard tent. Sgt Beebe and SPC4 Dean Rockhold with Cadet Brian Morrison. By the end of the day, both gentlemen had good naturedly been stripped of badges and buttons by cadets.

Aberdeen Ladies Pipe Band were also at the Festival.
