In 1985, a select group were selected to form a National Canadian Cadet Pipe Band and perform at the Longs Peak Highland Festival in Estes Park, Colorado. We met and travelled from CFB Trenton and stayed for a number of days at the YMCA of the Rockies, just outside of Estes Park. Most cadets were drawn from the 1985 summer pipes and drums course at Camp Ipperwash, but a few were from wider afield.
